Church, carbs and sugar

We were really excited to wake up and go to church this morning! The chapel was only 4 blocks away from our house, which was super convenient. The makeup of the people there was internationally diverse- we bumped into people from Kenya, the US, England and of course France (I'm sure there were many more countries represented there). I really loved it and would have liked to stay longer... Apparently, they are really close to buying land to build a temple in Paris, which would be so awesome. I think the land is in Versailles...

After church, we came home and relaxed our pants off. And- also ate our fair share! Steve and I decided to make our eclairs, and they were delicious (even though we had no measuring cups, ran out of butter and had new kitchen surroundings.). Chocolate, cream and cream puffs are the best combination ever. Yummy.

Enjoying some goodness...It has been kind of hard to feed the girls here, since I'm not really used to the grocery stores. But, I found some great frozen ravioli's, spinach, tomato sauce... and they have loved that so far. As for snacks, I feel bad resorting to some sort of puffed chip, pretzels, and crackers... all kind of processed and "white," but I will continue looking!

The only bad thing about making these is the clean up. But, it's worth it if you make a lot and keep on eating them the next couple of days...

Next on the agenda was making gnocchi from scratch! Wowzers. Becky is a pro in making these, so I just sat back and took notes. She even made me a gluten free version made with rice flour.

Perfect little pillows of deliciousness...

The Gnocchi with tomato cream sauce was so wonderful!

After the 3000 calories, we thought going to the park would be a good idea :) This little park is only 4 blocks away and is perfect for sitting on a bench while watching the kids play. They had a great time playing in the sand. Happy kids = happy parents.
SO EXCITED FOR crepes tomorrow (they are really called galettes because they are made out of buckwheat flour and are savory.... and I can eat them!!!) We're going to Crêperie Bretonne (voted by some as the best crepes in Paris) in the 11th arrondisement, before checking out the outlets outside of Paris...
