The Harvest

I mentioned last post that we were enjoying our harvest. Well, here are some pics of what we picked this morning... green beans, LOTS of tomatoes, cucumbers, corn. OH MY GOSH CORN! I am not a lover of corn, but this is pretty darn finger lickn delicious.

This is the side entrance to our house... tomatoes on the right, fruit trees on the left with cucumbers, and green beans.

Instead of planting normal plants that separate us from the neighbors, Steve decided to plant GARGANTUAN corn plants. Well (they were only seeds when we started)... but they are HUGE! Everyone makes jokes when they pass the house :)

DELiCiOuS.

She picked the biggest one!

Wow! I think you guys win (harvest wise). I really haven't seen a better garden anywhere:)

I would call that successful corn and a great use of space. (And food really can't get much more locally grown than in your front yard!!

I can't wait for when we can plant a garden. Your harvest is impressive and looks so delicious.

I couldn't help but thinking..."If you build it they will come" after seeing that corn field you have in your front yard. If characters from Field of Dreams start coming out and asking to play baseball...something has gone completely wrong.

On a side not, you guys can have a corn maze at halloween and sell tickets!
