We were planning to drive to SLC for Thanksgiving to visit our families, but after hearing that it took our friends 20 hours to drive there through the snowy Sierras and while we were watching it RAIN cats and dogs... we decided to stay home. It was a big bummer since we were going to celebrate Maddie's birthday with her cousins and see lots of family, but Thanksgiving is SO short, and 40 hours in the car on the front and tail end, just doesn't sound like fun :)
We ended up staying home and my dad flew out last minute! It was very peaceful... just what Thanksgiving should be! We made a pretty simple dinner, put up the tree, made ornaments... WONDERFUL!
