Halloween!!!

We went a little crazy this year with Halloween. Was it a lot of work? Yes, and as I sit here in bed, I am exhausted and feel comforted that it is November. But, it was absolutely worth it. We had a lot of fun that's for sure. We threw a party for Emi's friends, Maddie's friends and our friends. And, did a few patches here and there, parades, trick or treating.... here we goooooo:

Emilie's party was a blast. We had it in the morning, and I think it was perfect for their age and they were super energetic! We played eat the donut for the three parties, and it was fun for all of them...

This was a super fun game- the moms had to make their kids into mummies the fastest...

Make the biggest spider web you can!

Oh my. I cheated. They were THAT good.

Hayley's super cute idea last year that I copied.

Pin the bowtie on Mr. Bones.

 One of our walls.

 See one of them missing?

We had a movie/game night for Maddie's party with dinner. Yes, it was loud.

 But fun!

This was very funny to watch.

They did their own pumpkins this year!! And, roasted the seeds too, which are so addicting!

Just hangin' around. Too adorable to pass up.

Emilie was really the perfect Rapunzel... her coloring is perfect for this costume!

Super excited and happy in her parade!

Maddie's class of super scary/fairy princess/action hero etc.

Maddie was a FairyTale Princess- inspired from the Barbie movies. This is as close as we could get it!

And, Sebastian as the spider :)

We went trick O Treat'n with our neighborhood pals. It was super fun, and the kids has a blast going through the "spooky" house at the end.

Steve went all out this year with his displays- he bought a projection light show for the pumpkins that sing to five different songs. Super super awesome.

And of course, the Zombie party! This was a blast... lots of great food, the costumes were awesome, and of course dancing.

Draw a zombie picture on your head without looking...

 Silly games...

The last party goers... dancing until midnight.

We are beat! Halloween was a huge success! Can't wait until next year!

Madeleine's reading award

The first graders had an assembly where the teachers awarded some of the kids for their strengths so far during the year. Madeleine was chosen as the top reader in her class, as we are so proud!

Now, we just need to keep on peaking her interest... need to get good books!

Things that have made us happy over the past couple of weeks

Sebi is more curious than ever. Eats dirt, sand, crayons, and chalk. We totally think he was iron deficient, so we are trying to give him more red meat, which we think is helping. But, what's more important is these glasses... hee hee.

Does he look like a minion from Despicable Me? lol.

Love that horse while we wash our car.

Jammie mornings are the best. I can't get enough of them.

We transformed Maddie and Emilie's old room into Sebastian's new room- painted the walls, ordered a new rug, and poof! It went from girlie to boy/safari/chic? Well, that's what we were going for at least!

Organizing clothes= no fun. But someone has got to do it.

I think our family unanimously loves Mexican food- especially authentic mexican food with a california twist.

This place in Santa Barbara was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I wish they had it here.

 Lov'n every bite.

Speaking of food, also finally went to Back A Yard in EPA, and it is worth all of the type. Especially those plantains which I can not get enough of. It totally reminds me of my mom and her amazing Cuban food. AHHH.
And, of course, visits to Whole Foods, which we all love but just can't afford. This cart makes me so happy.
The peanut butter you make at Whole Foods has got to be one of the best foods ever.

We love watching Maddie play soccer- go #13!

For some reason, Sebastian is really good at blowing this whistle. It is freak'n hilarious.

 Noth'n better than chewing plastic.

Well, this is one where you just had to be there. Yes, I am addicted to "Pretty Little Liars," and this is our therapy group. We all watched these episodes like they were going out of style and giggle/text each other like, yes... tini boppers. Because, I guess that's what we are. This random guy are Pete's took our pic. Maybe he's "A?"

A witch? Well, it's our favorite holiday of course. And, we had to make the rounds to the dollar store, Target, Walmart, etc to inspire us for our upcoming Halloween parties.

My little Emi- who I couldn't stop giving hugs to while we picked up the Quartz for their bathroom countertops.

 Just a spider hug.
And this goofy smile. These things make everyday worth it.
